On a daily bases I receive request from Applicants seeking an opportunity to intern with my company. I wish, as a planner myself I could fulfill each request. We are a small company and at this time we do not have any paid or full-time positions available. However, we do offer non-paid intern positions from time to time.

Internship enrollment: open from June 1-30, 2009
Pre-Qualifications:
Must submit a resume.
Compile an essay (no more than 500 words) on why you wish to be a part of the wedding industry and what reasons have led to your decision to become a professional wedding consultant/planner. Additionally, please note why you want to intern with us. Explain what factors are important to you and what you hope to gain from your on the job training.

Other Qualifications
Previous Event Planning Experience: Applicants should have some previous event planning experience. This includes non-professional experience such as birthday parties, church functions, corporate event etc.
Outgoing Personality: Applicants should be hospitable, assertive, self-motivated, independent, diplomatic, resourceful, creative, quick moving and able to multi-task.
Weekend Availability: Applicants must have availability to work at weddings on Friday evenings and all day on both Saturdays and Sundays. Applicants will be assigned events and can only be absent once.
Good Listening and Comprehension Skills: Applicants should be able to listen to instructions and carefully and correctly follow directions.
Driving Knowledge of Metro Atlanta: Applicants should be familiar with Atlanta's interstates and main roads, and have a reliable means of transportation.
General Computer Skills: Word, Excel, Outlook and General Internet Skills
